CULTURAS IN VITRO

Portugal aims to become a film star: The development of the nation's private television sector over the past decade, as well as the emergence of a more active movie sector in recent years, has also produced a small local army of competent technical crews who can assist in filming at affordable rates.
But at the same time movie makers complain of too much red tape to get clearances for filming in certain areas, especially from local municipalities, and of insufficient government support for the sector.
