FBI Paid $7M for Info on Spy: The FBI paid a former Russian intelligence officer $7 million for information that helped crack the case of a senior agent who spied for Russia for over two decades, according to a new book about the mole.
In "SPY: The Inside Story of How the FBI's Robert Hanssen Betrayed America," author David Wise writes that the former KGB officer who supplied the thick file was secretly relocated to the United States. Random House will publish the book on Oct 22.
