It's a birthday few people probably want to celebrate, but Jan. 10 marks the three-year anniversary of one of the biggest - and most disappointing - corporate mergers in business history: the marriage of America Online and Time Warner.
AOL merger stirring up caution in big companies: AOL Time Warner has been hit by a triple whammy: a sickly advertising market, the bursting of the dot-com bubble and a slowdown in subscriber growth as customers shift from dial-up - AOL's bread and butter - to high-speed Internet access.
