Silent Scheme: Viacom bosses Sumner Redstone and Mel Karmazin are quietly working with lawyers to extract $200 million from insurance companies that cover the media conglomerate. Sources say Viacom is claiming it should be reimbursed for losses of advertising revenues stemming from 9/11, when regular programming was pre-empted for news coverage of the terrorist attack and its aftermath.
