Portugal no seu melhor:
Youngsters dunked to drive out the devil: Sao Bartolomeu do Mar -Portuguese children shrieked and wailed as they were dunked in the sea as part of a 300-year-old ritual that some believe purges them of fears and afflictions blamed on the devil.
More than 30 000 people, mainly from Portugal's northern interior, packed Sao Bartolomeu do Mar's beach at the weekend - many just enjoying a picnic, along with a rare spectacle, or giving their children a dip in the chilly Atlantic in the belief that it's healthy.
But hundreds of true believers also came out on the feast of St Bartholomew, harbouring hopes that the patron saint of children and stutterers would in fact help their youngsters.
Portugal offers access to Latam, Africa: Portugal has offered Indian companies access to Latin American and African markets through its economy.
Dr Joaquim Ferreira Marques, ambassador of Portugal in India, said: “Due to a strong economic presence in South American countries like Brazil and Argentina and African countries like Angola and Mozambique, Portugal can offer, through Portuguese companies in those regions, avenues to Indian companies who want to expand their business in economic areas, especially in the IT, communication, distribution and tourism sector.”
