É estimulante ler isto vindo desta Malta:
The biggest challenge for Malta in the EU: Creating more jobs: EU membership does not guarantee economic success. A recent study: The Europeans Future Report carried out by Robert Huggins Associates, concludes that the prosperity gap between the EU’s richest and poorest countries increased to a staggering 25 per cent between 1994 and 2000. One of the reasons why countries like Portugal and Greece are lagging behind is because they wasted the funds they received from Brussels on projects hatched by politicians instead of using them to renew their economies, make them competitive, attract investment and create new jobs. the same report forecasts that, by 2010, countries like Portugal and Greece will see their economies shrink further, whereas Sweden will race ahead because of good governance and the ability to build a new economy.
