First moonwalk is top news clip: Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon have pipped the assassination of John F Kennedy to become the most popular news image of the 20th century.
The 1969 moonwalk and the president's death in 1963 top a poll of ITN's most requested pieces of news footage.
They are followed by the September 11 attacks in 2001 [que dificilmente se pode encaixar no século XX...], the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997 and Bobby Moore lifting the World Cup for England in 1966. [...]
ITN has also released a top 20 list of its most unusual requests of all time.
It is topped by the Queen Mother's horse Devon Loch, which inexplicably fell over on the flat 50 yards from victory in the 1956 Grand National.
