Madonna On War And 'American Life': Prior to making the decision to pull her controversial "American Life" video on Monday (March 31), Madonna gave her feelings about the war and explained her intentions behind the video in an exclusive interview with LAUNCH, Your Yahoo! Music Experience.
Madonna added that the video isn't necessarily about the war in Iraq and its concept was conceived back in November.

He proposed that "all technology can plausibly be regarded as weapons." And now, in his own muddled way, he seems to be right on target. Television cameras are weapons. The battle in Iraq is being fought with cool weapons mounted onto hot ones. It's a warm war in the global village.

Charlie is suggesting John Perry Barlow as the candidate, because John is excellent at debating and discussing controversial issues, and the role of the candidate will be to change minds - not simply to win votes.
